Performance test and leak detection
Pressures measured on both sides, vent temperatures recorded, and the system leak tested with dye or an electronic detector where it is losing charge. The leak gets found, photographed and quoted.

Air conditioning and climate · Carrollton, Texas
In Texas, climate is not a convenience feature.
AC faults, weak cooling, vent actuators and the 720S center dash job, diagnosed properly and quoted with the labor explained.
The summer job
An air conditioning fault in a Dallas summer takes a car off the road as effectively as a mechanical one. In a cabin this size, with an engine behind it, there is nowhere for the heat to go.
Weak cooling is rarely just low refrigerant. A system that needs topping up has a leak, and adding gas without finding it is a repair with an expiry date measured in weeks.
The vent actuators are the other half of the work. On the 720S the center dash vent is the known one, and it is quoted blind by shops who have not done it, because the dash has to come out to reach it. We quote it having done it.
The work
The system is tested with gauges and the factory tool before anything is recharged, because a top-up is not a repair.
Pressures measured on both sides, vent temperatures recorded, and the system leak tested with dye or an electronic detector where it is losing charge. The leak gets found, photographed and quoted.
Compressor operation, clutch behavior and condenser condition are all assessed. Condensers sit in the airflow on these cars and take stone damage, which is a common and easily-missed source of loss.
Actuator failures produce air from the wrong place or a vent that will not move. On the 720S the center dash vent requires the dash out, which is a significant labor job. We tell you the hours before you commit, and we do everything else reachable while it is open.
Some climate complaints are not refrigeration faults at all.
At the dash

Vent temperature and airflow measured at the dash, so a weak system is quantified rather than described.

Climate control modules read on diagnostics, where blend door and actuator faults report themselves.

Compressor, condenser and lines inspected for leaks and damage before any refrigerant work begins.
How the job runs
Pressures, vent temperatures and a full climate module read.
Leak detection where the system is undercharged, photographed at the source.
Line-item estimate with access labor stated plainly, especially on dash-out work.
Evacuate, recharge to specification, then confirm vent temperatures.
Most AC repairs take one to two business days. Dash-out vent work is longer and quoted with a completion date.

Cold air, cabin quiet, Texas summer proof.
Where we work
We are in Carrollton, minutes from the President George Bush Turnpike, with collection and return across the metroplex.
AC work concentrates into a few weeks every year. A performance test in spring is a far easier appointment to get than a repair in July.
Cars that sit lose refrigerant through seals that dry out. If your car has been stored for a season, have the system tested before you rely on it.
Why March Motorsports
Because a system that is low is a system that leaks, and a recharge without a repair simply resets the clock on the same appointment.
The other reason is the dash-out work. It is quoted honestly here because we have done it, rather than padded because nobody wants to find out mid-job what is involved.
We locate and photograph the loss before recharging anything.
The 720S center vent job is known labor here, not an estimate.
Vent temperatures recorded before and after, and put in your file.
Areas we serve
Our Carrollton workshop serves owners throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, with collection and delivery available across the Metroplex and enclosed transport arranged statewide.

Tell us whether it is weak everywhere or wrong on one side, and whether the system has been gassed before. Both narrow it quickly.
Questions
Most often the system has lost charge through a leak, though a restricted cabin filter, a condenser damaged by road debris or a blend motor fault produce the same complaint. The test tells us which.
We can, but a system that is low is leaking, and a recharge alone puts you back here. We would rather find the loss and tell you what fixing it costs.
Because the dash has to come out to reach the actuator. The part is modest; the access is the job. We quote the hours honestly and use the opportunity to check everything else that becomes reachable.
Usually not refrigeration at all, but a flap or blend actuator. It is tested through its full travel on the factory tool rather than diagnosed by where the air lands.
Yes. Seals dry out on a car that sits, and refrigerant escapes slowly. Test it before the first hot weekend rather than during it.
Noticeably. A restricted filter reduces airflow enough to feel like an AC fault, and it is the first thing worth ruling out.
We record vent temperatures against ambient before and after the work, so you have a figure rather than an impression.
Yes, and they are read directly from the climate module rather than inferred, which is faster and considerably more accurate.
